How do i make new friends? Please Help!?

So i just moved to a new town and i don't know anyone. Before i moved i had lots of guy friends and that's my comfort zone because i'm a straight girl who'd rather hang with guys than girls. I'm having trouble making friends here. I've been told many times in my life that i'm different and not like other people and for some reason guys understand me better. And they give amazing advice on boy trouble. So i got this amazing idea one day to add a bunch of randoms from this new town on facebook. Since i don't usually hang around girls i decided to try something new and to be friends with some which didn't work of course. So how do I meet guys on facebook? I've talked to a couple but all they wanted to do was flirt. I just want friends rite now. I'm kind of a shy person so how do i approach them? Like what do I say ? Please Help!
