Is there any way that i can get another key made if i have only half of the key! Please i need help!?

Ok we broke our key into one keyhole right, and it was the only key we had for that door and the front door. We broke half of the key one part of the key is still in they other keyhole.! But he replaced that door's lock! But we still need that key for the front door, which uses the same key! YES we've tried to replaced the front door's lock also but it cant come off. and getting a new door is out of the question.! so me and my mother was wondering could we take it somewhere and they look at the little code on the key and type into a computer or something and it makes the same key that we broke? is that possible? if so please tell me how.and where could we do that at?! we asked someone else and they told us that we couldn't do that, but it doesn't hurt to try again! SO please if you can help please tell me! thanks so much!
