To Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha: How long did it take for you recieve the accpetance letter?

I had applied for AKA early this month, April 6th to be exact! Since then, I have constantly been checking my mail like crazy, anticipating for that letter! I was told that it might be longer than usual since the sorority is currently focusing on the Centennial Boule 2008. I also was told that accepted members have an opportunity to attend the Boule (As you can imagine, I am overjoyed to have a chance to experience this 'once-in-a-century' celebration). What away to begin as an AKA!? BTW, I would like to know when any of you ladies recieved your letter? Did take a week? a month? Did yah know deep inside that you were going to be accepted? and also just for a bonus, what do you think got you in? Was it your extensive community service? Were you a legacy or an AKA friend put a word in for you? I know its alot but I just would like to know, so I can calm my nerves down in waiting for this moment,lol. Please answer!
